Heavily focused on overhauling the backend, double-checking all information currently on site, and bringing literally every listing back up to date, with the ability to check how old the information is.
This might not be an exhaustive list, but it’s pretty darn close. It’s also not terribly organized, cuz I spent my energy on other things, lol. I’ll have a cleaner blog post with more coherent observations as soon as I can.
- Added Preformed Line Products as a Structure Manufacturer
- Updated all Unirac listings to include Symo, Neptune, and Solis S6 inverters
- Corrected the data sheet and information for GoodWe SMT-US inverters
- Added SunModo as a Structure Manufacturer
- Added Unirac’s new GridFlex 10 product
- There’s now an “All Products” page
- Got my hands on Chiko’s actual UL 3741 documentation, so I was able to add the following:
- Two more Chiko structures, the CK-TR and CK-SO
- An RSD Combiner from Yaskawa Solectria that was in Chiko’s listing, the RSDCOM (!!!)
- Combined the Solis 1P 4G-US inverter listings
- Added the 7kW version of the GoodWe A-MS, was omitted by accident up til now
- Renamed several inverters to reduce visual clutter
- Ironridge Aire and XR now have support for the following products:
- SMA Core1 -41 and Tripower X
- Solis’ Hybrid Inverter (!!!)
- Tesla’s MCI-2
- Ecofasten also now has support for Solis Hybrid inverter and the MCI-2
- Added the 125kW model for the Solis S5-GC
- Added the lower voltage version of the Solis S5-GC
- Found better documentation for Timberline Solar, and added Timberline Solar 2
- Additional information added for all products
- Standardized product images
- All model numbers for each inverter or eBOS product are now listed
- DC/AC Voltages and power classes for each applicable product have been added. These are visible some places on the site, but I intend to make this information much more accessible and searchable/sortable in the future.
- Many product datasheets/brochures have been added, it was super inconsistent before.
- Starting to track what products may be discontinued with a banner at the top of the product page, and redirecting to a successor. In the future, I plan to dis-advantage these products in sorting/search to avoid confusion.
- Double-checked every single product on the website for listing accuracy and updated things accordingly
- Regressions:
- Wire management products (EZ Solar only, up til now) are not on the site yet. This will be a high priority to add back to the site, as well as adding many other wire management solutions
- The “any inverter or SID”-type listing for many CSA-listed racking products is not supported as well as I’d like it to be yet. A main priority for next update.
- Tooltips (pop-up definitions) have been disabled for now. They were a little invasive on mobile, and I want to figure out a better way to implement them. There’s also a redesign (to make pretty!) of the site in the works, so this will likely wait to be reimplemented until after that redesign.
